The Sims 3 Crashes/Black Screen Empty The Sims 3 Crashes/Black Screen

Every time I try to play with a family after a while it freezes and a black screen appears!! When i first began to play the game none of this was happening!! What can I do to fix it? The expansions I own are World Adventures,Pet and Supernatural.

If you want to use the "4 GB patch", though, then you have to patch the TS3W.exe in C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin (= this is the Sims 3 base game location).

Did you recently add any mods or custom content to your game (= have you lately installed any files in either ".sims3pack" and/or ".package" file format) ?
