CC not compatible with 1.55 Version (game does not start)

Hey there, hey! I updated my game to the 1.55 version, I always use the NoCD Mod from Twallan and it works normally, but this time when I entered to the game, it didn't start, I was so scared about that, then I tried to do some things I found here (like changing the Sims 3 folder name) and it did start normally, then I introduced my whole Mods folder with the NoCD Mod and other CC that I have and it works perfectly...

With that said, I think... or i'm almost sure it is the sims3pack content D: I tried uninstalling some things that I don't trust enough (the launcher was slower than normally) but I can't even do that, because the uninstalling sims3pack screen is just "not responding" Wat.

Then my question is: XD is there another way to uninstall things from my game without deleting every sims3pack content that I have? or how can I know whats the thing that is not compatible with the new patch? (because the game was working great before this version) Please help me, I want to play with all my things Sad

Hello,

First of all: that thing with the "No-CD" mod, I bet you got this idea from the user "Killer478" ? Again (I'm sure I have said this already countless times): that might be a temporary solution, but if you use the updated Ultimate fix later on, you have to remove that mod (probably).

Oh, no I don´t know Killer478 but I have always used NoCD mod and I haven't had troubles, like I said, the game works perfectly with the new Sims 3 folder (and with the NoCD Mod inside) that's why I think the problem is because of the Sims3Pack content, cause the new Sims 3 folder doesn't have it Razz

and I see on the guide that is needed to uninstall the CC from the launcher, and I can't do that like I told you. thanks anyway! but may be I can use the CCmagic? do I need to use the launcher with that?

If you can't access/use the launcher, then go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete the following:

The contents of the folders DCBackup, DCCache, Downloads and Installed Worlds. Of course, also delete the other small cache files mentioned in the article I posted.

So basically do everything what the article says, but without the things that need the launcher. See if this un-installs your .sims3packs.

Yes, you will lose all your installed .sims3packs.

But if you think that a .sims3pack file causes this, then I'm not sure how to directly find out which file is responsible.

What I usually recommend is to ALWAYS install mods and CC in small "portions". And after you install such a small portion, and you then start the game and see that there are problems, then you (probably) know that the thing you installed LAST was maybe corrupted.

If you don't want to delete everything, then wait for a while until the new download account re-opens.
