Hello Chizzle1496 and welcome to the forum,


If you already have "Get to Work" installed, you can apply the latest Ultimate fix, which will update the game to version 1.7.65.1020. Get the fix from the opening post here:

Apply it according to the included instructions, and play on. There is no problem in updating this way.

thank you for the reply, Admin (?)
i tried that earlier but it told me that some aspects of my game were too updated for the others. in the installation guide, it said that the game version for the ultimate fix was 1.7.62.1020 instead of 1.7.65.1020. and my game is 1.7.65.1020. was that a typo in the guide, or is my game too updated for the fix?

Do you have a legit base game on Origin, and if so, did you let it update via Origin...? Also, do you think you can re-cite the exact wording of the error message you seemingly got ? 

Also, 1.7.65.1020 is the latest version of the game; and if the update was applied correctly, you can ignore the typo in the guide...
