I accidentally updated The Sims 3 to 1.55! [SOLVED]
So, as the title says I updated the sims 3 to 1.55 (Without knowing)..... And now everytime I press the play button in launcher, the screen turns black and after a few seconds it says that, "sims 3 has stopped working." I also believe you need an ultimate fix for this, when will the new one come? Please help and answer my question if you could!

Hello,
Or you can wait for a while until the new version of the "Ultimate fix" is released (it can't take too long anymore). This is what we recommend .
The thing with this "NRAAS No-CD mod" is only a temporary solution.
And please, if you do use this mod, and later on download the Ultimate fix, then take out this mod from the Mods/Packages folder again - otherwise you may get problems with starting the game !

Hey! I did this recently and fixed it by doing a systems restore to before I updated. This allowed me to carry on playing while patiently waiting for the Update from here

Out of curiousity what sort of issues can you get from instaling the No CD patch then removing it? I thought it would be like the no intro thing where if you removed it you would get the video played when you launch the game.

I did the same thing but what fixed it for me was just reinstalling the old patch then running the ultimate fix.
