Sims 3 Launcher Issues

I can open up my launcher fine, but only when I click on the most recent installed expansion pack shortcut. Before, I didn't need to do this. But the real problem is when I click play on the launcher, it disappears as if it's going to play but it never does. I tried using ts3.exe to bypass it but that does nothing either.
I currently have installed,
Diesel Stuff, Master Suite Stuff, High End Loft Stuff, Showtime, University, Seasons, Town Life Stuff, Fast Lane Stuff and Generations. I installed Generations last.
I'm still downloading Pets, WA, Late Night, and Outdoor Living.
My sims 3 game is retail though.

Another thing I'd like to mention is that on my sims 3 launcher only a few of the icons are lit up on the bottom. Others like seasons, university and showtime are dim when fast lane (for example) is lit up, as if I only installed those.

I had the game and alllllll the expansions installed before but my computer was broken and had to get it fixed. Stupid people had to replace the hard drive and I had to re-install. This is my 3rd time re-installing all these games and it's a pain. But what should I do? I want to play but the damn game won't start. Sad

Please apply the Ultimate Fix correctly, and check your game is up to date!

Try redoing steps 2-4 from this thread. The manual patch will (most likely) take care of those expansions not being lit up, and the fix should help with the starting issue. Smile
