Game Crashes After Progressing Far Into The Game
I've searched, and this problem seems to be unique to only me. After reaching decently far into the game, it crashes. I renamed my Sims 3 folder in "My Documents", and loaded up the game on a clean slate, and the problem persisted on the first shot.
At first, I thought it was after my lot value reached a high point. I tested it by making a single sim, marrying a rich sim, and taking the house to sell, along with the toddler. I then built a new, expensive, huge house, and played for a bit when the game crashed.
After that, I'm starting to think it's whenever I have a baby/toddler/child on the lot. On my new game, I built a really nice house, spent a few days playing it, and my sim just had a baby. Within one in-game day of having the baby, the game crashed.
I have all expansions but Pets, Island Paradise and Katie Perry Sweet Treats, and I'm running on patch 1.50. I use custom textures for the skins of the Sims, and the No Mosaic. The texture doesn't seem to be the problem, as it happened before I downloaded that.
EDIT: I forgot, I'm running Windows 8

I'm not really a techie but it sounds like your computer just can't handle so much happening. What settings do you have with everything? You should probably lower the graphics, and with such a large house enable object hiding

My computer is a decent build, it can handle Battlefield 3 max settings with 60 FPS, but I'll try turning it them all the way down to see if it changes anything.
EDIT: Well, it sorta worked. I pumped it down to medium, and I could go one extra day before it crashes.
If it helps, the crash more commonly happens when I save. Sometimes it happens at random, but for the most part, it's when I'm saving.

Nope, it just says the game stops responding.Shamrock wrote:Do you get any error?
EDIT: I just updated my game to 1.55. It didn't fix anything, but it didn't make it worse.
