So, I have....I'm at my wits end. I downloaded and extracted the Island Paradise EP no problem. Tried to install, said it needed space, deleted a few things and got by that. Then, it said I needed to update, no big deal happens with every new EP. It's giving me the error on updating that a lot of people seem to be having. Downloaded the ultimate fix, cracked it and placed them in the Bin, and....nothing. Should I try updating with Origin? Or will that throw everything out of whack? Is there something I am missing? Any help would be amazing.

Okay, i found the 1.55 patch...tried to install it and got this.

Please give me your full base game version (hover over the base game icon at the bottom of the Launcher, it should be something like 1.XX...)

What's the filesize of that patch you downloaded ? I assume it's between 200-300 MB ? If yes, please don't use that patch (if you can avoid it). These "incremental" patches have "region versions", which means you have to download the patch, that fits your Sims 3 region.

Therefore, it would be much easier to download the big "manual patch", available here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v155-fix-manual-patch-updated

This patch is about 1.3 GB big and is "region-free". Wink

Well I found the manual patch in the support folder of the download itself and it seems to be working just fine for now! Saved me a ton of time trying to download it! Thank you guys for your help!
