Can't Install Island Paradise, Please Help!

Firstly, sorry for posting in the wrong thread - I saw that got deleted.

I have Sims 3 installed and all expansions except Island Paradise. I started with the instructions in the Must Read thread. The problem always happens when the expansion tries to patch. So, I skipped to trying the Manual Patch, but that still wouldn't work. I then tried the patch inside the support directory that this thread mentioned. Nothing is working.

I then thought I would try applying the Ultimate Fix again and then letting the launcher patch like it suggests in the PDF. Still nothing.

Apart from wiping everything and starting again, I'm not sure what to do.

Did the manual patch finished patching? If yes, what exactly is the problem? Do you get an error when you try to patch or when you try to install the game? What does the error say exactly?

When I run TS3_1.55.4.0.220xx_update.exe from the Support directory it doesn't finish patching, I just get the following error message:

"The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate"

Hi, I ran the launcher and it says at the bottom version: 18.0.126.021001

It says update available: Sim3_1.55.4022017_from_1.50.56.201017.exe

Does that mean anything to you?

If I hover over TS3.exe it shows as version 1.0.0.1 - so I'm guessing something has gone horribly wrong

Sorry, I'm a total noob. I gave you the version number of TS3.exe, not TS3W.exe

TS3W.exe is 0.2.0.210 (created: 24/04/2013 19:31 modified: 19/06/2013 11:48 size: 14,424,384 bytes)

I have followed steps 2 - 4, but it's running the manual patch that keeps stopping. I've tried downloading it and also using the one from the Island Paradise rar

That's the first number I posted. It's 18.0.126.021001

Ok, that number is 1.50.56.021017

I can't at the moment - it's 00:30 here and I've got work in the morning.

I'm going to try a wipe and reinstall of everything and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for trying to help.

I have the same problem as Nicebloke... I've deleted all my sim games and reinstalled them till Paradise Island... I've already tried the ultimate fix... and I've tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work.... I really hope somenone can help me....

And the version of my sims base game is : 1.50.56.021002
