Hello Sandie,

Sorry for late reply. Please apply these steps and see if the problem continues.

1. repair permissions
/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility, "Repair Permissions"
2. delete preferences
/Users//Library/Preferences/The Sims 3 Preferences folder
3. delete caches:
/Library/Caches/
/Users//Library/Caches/

Hello,

At this point clicking Yes or No doesn't matter on Macs. Mostly it's an unsolvable problem for Mac users Sandie :/ But you need to try everything before jumping this conclusion. Please read this page about possible solutions.

ok so i tried what it says above but now i can't install my sims3packages anymore its says error system failure,it also removed all the content i got from other expansions what should i do? It also keeps giving me the message "System API failed please call customer support" I have also reinstalled twice same result HELP Plz:FUU:
