Sims 3 download stuck at Sunset Valley.objectCache Empty Sims 3 download stuck at Sunset Valley.objectCache

I've been trying to install the Sims 3 base game for hours now. I mount the start disk, start it and the installation seems to be running okay until it reaches Sunset Valley.objectCache. I've read around to see if I can find a solution and I've seen some cases of "cyclic redundancy check" but that's not what I've been running into. The download just seems to get stuck at this certain point.

Maybe I'm missing something but I swear I've looked everywhere. Thank you for reading!

Click on the installer, does it show a pop-up or something?

Yeah, I left it there for a while, but it doesn't change. I'm not sure what's wrong; it hasn't done this before when I used the download from this site. /:

Hello there,

If you still have the download (namely the ".RAR"-file !), then make a new folder somewhere. Now you RE-EXTRACT the contents of your .RAR download with WinRAR (only use this program when opening and extracting .RAR files).

Otherwise, you may also try to re-download.

Well I decided to uninstall Daemon Tools Pro and use Daemon Tools Lite instead, and after I did that, the download started working fine. I'm not sure if that was exactly the problem but it worked regardless!
