The Sims 3 Disk game and torrent expansion

I have the sims 3 base game with the actual disk for pc and I downloaded the university life expansion pack(torrent) with crack. I installed university life and put the crack in the base folder and everytime I try to launch the game it asks for the university life disk. Is ot possible to play this expansion pack with the uncracked base game? help please?

Please follow the Mac guide correctly.
