I have installed Sims 3 and all expansions except Katy Perry, Diesel Stuff, and University Life. I opened the launcher one day and a message popped up saying something to the effect of, "You are using an illegal copy of Sims 3, quit or continue?" I pressed continue and now my game will no longer install .sims3pack or start. I can't even get the splash screen to appear. Anyone got any ideas?

Hello,
Follow steps 2-4 here.
Manual patch is simple: simply follow the instructions and the manual patch will patch the game for you.
Download the Ultimate Fix mentioned in step 3. And then drag and drop (step 4) the contents of the #crack folder of the Ultimate Fix to: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin (If you have bought the base game via Origin, the correct directory should be: C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin). Note that if you have purchased the game via Steam, the expansion packs downloaded here (pirated copies equal to legit disk copies actaully) are incompatible with the base game you bought from Steam.

Re: Loading Problem
So I pressed the update button and this is the message I got:
I then used the [ TS3_1.55.4.0220xx_update.exe ] to update the game. Then I pressed "I want to play the Sims 3!" and the game looked like it was about to open but the splash screen never came. I let the screen stay black and the mouse was "busy" the whole time. I had to manually turn off my computer to get out of it.
I restarted my computer and redid the update, what should I do now?

Re: Loading Problem
No need to re do the update anymore now...
So you pressed the second button, then the green bar filled, right?
Then it means the fix is correctly applied.
Please press the second button again, then open the task manager and kill the process named "TS3W.exe".
Then open the Launcher. Do your Sims3Pack install now?
Please tell us the following: where are your games from?
Also, it seems you are on Windows 8, right? If so, launching the game in Administrator mode might help.

Re: Loading Problem
Yes, the green bar filled up and the screen went black like it was about to start, but it wont. I let it sit for at least 40 minutes.
I have to restart the computer because the black screen (sims 3) will not move to the background, so i cant open task manager or anything.
yes i have windows 8.
I tried to install sims3pack and it still will not load the installer.. I have been waiting for it to load going on 30 minutes now.
I also tried running the game from windows explorer as an administrator, still nothing..

Re: Loading Problem
Hello,
If you cannot install sims3packs via Launcher, I suggest you download CCMagic to manage and install sims3packs.
