Black Loading Screen

I've recently come into a problem with loading up my Sims 3. I had no issue when I first downloaded Island Paradise and when I did the Ultimate Fix and manually updated to the latest update. I've deleted the cache files in the documents folder and also the thumbnail files. I do not use custom content except I have the mod that skips over the intro when opening the game. I've tried multiple ways to open my game: I've used the launcher on my desktop, I've manually used the TSW.exe file and the TSWLauncher.exe file also. I've used the website that tells you if my computer can run specific games and it says my computer is able to handle it. I'm not sure if this is just a problem with how I downloaded it, but I've followed the instructions for the ultimate fix and how to properly install all the games, I'm just unsure what's going on and if this is a problem that can somehow be fixed with an update or something of that sort. Sorry for the late reply, but I assume you have installed at least one of the following expansion/stuff-packs too ? 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations

You need at least one of those in order to get the Ultimate fix working.

Have you already tried to rename the folder "The Sims 3", located in My Documents/Electronic Arts.

After I had an in-game problem with "Island Paradise" (the game froze when I tried to check into a resort, and the next time I wanted to start the game, I got a black screen), I basically deleted the cache files, re-booted the computer, lowered the screen resolution of my computer to 1024 x 768, then started the game with the TS3W.exe. Interestingly it worked, so you might want to try that too.

Other than that I can't give you another explanation for this phenomenon - for now. Lots of people have reported this issue with the black screen and also problems with the launcher.
