CRC MISMATCH Empty CRC MISMATCH

I recently downloaded the Sims 3 for my sister to play. When it came to extracting the files ready to mount, they all extracted fine except disc one which got ERROR: CRC MISMATCH. I understand this means it has to be downloaded again with a hope to working, but is there a way I can ONLY download disc one? As the whole RAR took forever last time.

There is no way that you can only download Disk 1. May I ask how you extracted the base game torrent and what mounting tool have you used?

Ah, that's what I thought. Oh well, if you don't ask- you don't know Razz
I used WinZip to extract them and DaemonTools to mount Smile

Hello,

Extracting tools other than WinRAR can mess up your files. Try to extract them with WinRAR only. And don't forget to install Daemon Tool Lite ONLY to mount images.

Really?! Oh, well thanks. I'm kind of terrible with technology, I've been really trying recently though and I think I'm getting somewhere so all tips greatfully recieved haha
