The Sims 3 is not working error... URGENT! [SOLVED]
:newfag:
Hi,
my Sims 3 is not working, at all. After trying to install the "Late Night", it's not working. Here, I'll tell the story.
So, after installing the "Outdoor Living Stuff" and "Late Night" torrents, I extracted them to files on my Desktop. I opened the Late Night folder, opened the "Installation Guide" and saw that I had to uninstall ALL of my Expansion Packs, including the Sims 3 base game, which I was hesitant to do. That would take FOREVER to do, and it would take even LONGER to install. But, I figured, hey, the Installation Guide told me to do it, so I should do. So I did it. I uninstalled every single Expansion Pack, including the base game, with "Your Uninstaller!" to remove extra orphan files and registry files. So, I uninstalled them all, restarted my laptop, and installed them back again.
So, I opened the Late Night Installation Guide once again after I installed Sims 3 University, Ambitions, Pets, Seasons, Generations, Island Paradise, Town Life, Master Suite Stuff, Outdoor Living, Showtime, and Late Night ( I am looking to download quite a few more Expansion Packs ) and of course, the base game. So, I applied the cracks that the Installation Guide instructed me to, after I updated to the latest version ( 1.55 I believe ). So... I applied the cracks, went to my launcher, and WA-LA, all of the Expansion Packs seem to "light up" at the bottom of the "icon" part. Except for Island Paradise. What in the world? But it gets worse.
I start up my game, and it stays on a black screen, without showing the Maxis and Sims 3 intro video, and finally, it says "The Sims 3 has stopped working" and that Windows will find a solution, but when it does it says something caused it to stop working, but it's unknown. I need help! Why isn't Island Paradise showing up? By the way, I updated the Island Paradise manually by going to the Support folder and clicking on the update, like I was supposed to.
Do I remove the cracks from the Expansion Packs I applied them to? Or do I have to RE-DOWNLOAD them all over again ( Ambitions, The Sims 3, and Late Night? If I uninstall The Sims 3, I have to uninstall all of the other EPs, correct? Gosh, I hope not. I spent HOURS re-installing those EPs JUST for Late Night. Most difficult EP to install. )
EDIT - I've also noticed that in my Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 3 folder that there aren't as many files that there usually are. What's happening?

Hello,
The installation guides included in the torrent are outdated. Please follow this next time when you come across with the issue again. The "missing" folders or files will be generated in The Sims 3 folder inside Documents when you run the launcher/game.
