Can't create a sim Empty Can't create a sim

So i downloaded medieval today, just to see what it was about cause I noticed it was a less poplar expansion pack.. wanted to see why.
Everything works fine for the small part I got to, but it won't let me create a sim for my kingdom. It gets to the loading screen but won't do much else than that... it sucks cause I was looking forward to playing. Any solutions?

Hello!
Please make sure to install Pirates & Nobles, as the Ultimate Fix will not be working otherwise.
