Saving Sims to Hardrive

Hi, 

Can anyone tell me how to go about saving all of my sims data to a harddrive - by this i mean everything. I understand gameplay will only be possible when the harddrive is plugged in which is fine by me!

Also thanks in advance for all your help - but i will probably need step by step instructions! Haha.

By 'hardrive', I assume you mean an external hardrive, as in not the Internal disk drive in the computer?  I think the best way would be to reinstall everything. When it asks what directories to use each time, just select the locations inside your external hardrive that you want the files, so the programs know where to go to access them.

For the game itself, I agree with slothsminion that you would have to reinstall the game and select your location as your hard drive.

For your game data, you can save if by saving the "Electronic Arts" folder in your Documents.

Not got round to doing it yet, debating on moving everything else to the external hard drive and leaving sims on the internal hard drive - not sure I can be bothered with the hassle!
