Animation glitch. [SOLVED]
For some reason, the animations for my water fall and for the bon fire had stopped. My sims can still interact with both, but I can't see the water fall pouring nor the bon fire blazing.
I have added nothing.

When was the last time it worked ? Was that before you installed the latest game update ? Or did you change anything in the graphics settings in the meantime ?
Also, are these items available in build/buy-mode ? You might try selling them, and buying new ones.

Re: Animation glitch. [SOLVED]
I noticed it not working right yesterday. My sims were at university (which everything worked before they left) and when they got back neither showed the animation. I thought it may be just the family/world issues and I tried in another world with a newly made family and still they don't work.
I tried the to sell them and rebuying, but that didn't work.
My graphics and settings had always been on default.
Don't get me wrong, the sims can still play in the waterfall (can't see the water flowing, but can see the waves on the pool surface). Also, on the bon fire, can't see the pile of wood nor the flames, but they can still poke it, throw things in it, etc.

Maybe I misunderstood that, but if you do have some mods, what exactly are these ? I remember, some time ago, there was a similar issue with a mod called "NoMosaic"; this mod caused similar graphics glitches.deblake60 wrote:(...)

Otherwise I have no other explanation for that; you may want to try clearing the cache files, if you haven't done that already, but I'm not sure if that can help here.
Beginning with the "University" expansion, the game deteriorated more and more - and there is a gigantic amount of glitches which can't be solved, unless with a future patch. I'm sorry I couldn't help more with that - but maybe one of the other Helpers has another idea.

Re: Animation glitch. [SOLVED]
I do have the velocitygrass_nomosaic mod, but I was also running it before hand? So do you think that it is causing the glitch? If so, do you know of any other game friendly "noMosaic" type of Mods?

Re: Animation glitch. [SOLVED]
Normally, you have to make sure that your mods are compatible with your current base game version. So far so good, that's well-known, I guess.deblake60 wrote:I do have the velocitygrass_nomosaic mod, but I was also running it before hand? So do you think that it is causing the glitch? What might not be well-known is that not all creators of mods/CC actually care to "update" their stuff so that they work with future Sims 3 patches. Many of these creators just want to have their brief moment of fame, and that's it. Until recently, we had lots of users on here complaining that their clothes, furniture, makeup-CC, which they downloaded a VERY long time ago, didn't work anymore with the latest patch. While we're still not sure what could have gone wrong in these cases, one possibility might indeed be that these CC don't work with the latest patch.
I don't know that "velocitygrass_nomosaic" mod, but yes, you might even try removing it - maybe it helps.

Re: Animation glitch. [SOLVED]
Okay, I'll give the deleting it a try. As always, I appreciate your help Carlos. I'll get back on here later and let you know if it worked or not.
Thanks again!
EDIT://UPDATE:// Taking out the noMosaic did make the waterfall and the bon fire work properly. I will check for updated noMosaic Mods (Hate seeing the pixles!) and see if there's one that is compatible.
Thanks for the help Carlos.
Moderator edit: Glad to hear it worked ! OK, topic closed.
