Unknown Error (Sims 3 Ambitions Through Outdoorliving)

So I got a new iMac running 10.8.3 (I had up to sims 3 pets on my macbook pro running 10.6.5 with no problems) I downloaded all of the EP/SP packs from here and I got the Unknown Error message after they were all installed... tried everything used the ultimate fix, deleted the files in the preferences folder... i uninstalled everything and decided to see where the problem starts... I installed in order of release dates and if i try to install anything after HELS I get the Unknown Error message... this is weird... (also I always manually uninstall and made sure everything was gone com.transgaming and ipatcher plus the cider and sims 3 preference folders .)
Also for the hell of it I bypassed the launcher and the game gives an error also.
Im stumped..... I have been trying to get this to work for days. 

edit: i got generations to work but ambitions through outdoor living cause the Unknown Error... going to keep installing EP/SPs released after generations and see if it happens again.

I used to have that problem. It was solved after I used a more compatible base game.

Also, did you update to 1.57 and download the LATEST Ultimate Fix?

yeah its updated and its the latestest fix i got everything from generations to university life working by doing this

- apply the Ultimate Fix
- apply the manual patch
- apply the Ultimate Fix crack
- apply the manual patch once again
- apply the Ultimate Fix crack once again


i did play it for a minute without it crashing but it lagged out and crashed after like 45minutes but I think thats more I need to tweak some resolution stuff.... I am just not going to bother with ambitions through OutDoorLiving 
As for paradise I really want it so I will have to figure that one out. Its installed but the game won't play it.

I wonder if you have actually taken a look at the Mac Installation Guide here:

I have done the exact same installation following this guide for several Macs and they worked out. Island Paradise works as well.

Just make sure you do a clean uninstall before that. Let us know if that helps
