HELP!!! I'm a newbie.

guys, I have a problem. You see, I installed Sims3 base then the Sims 3 seasons. Then, I installed Katy Perry Sweet Treats. And when I was in the menu, I could not do A THING. I mean I was stuck in the menu. So I reinstalled Katy Perry Sweet Treats. And, same thing. I was stuck. So, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Help

Can you provide more details about you can't do anything on menu ? Any error or mods installed?

It's like I couldn't pick a town 'cause there are no selections. And the options menu has no words. And when ever I click on the "New Game" button, it doesn't start a new game. Sad

Well, I have installed mods, and the no intro mod works. But, it's not because of the mods, right??????? Smile

Try removing the mods.

Also, try using the manual patch again, even if you're already up to date. Then re-apply the ultimate fix (with a fresh download for both).

If neither of those works, then we'll go from there.

Hey guys, sorry 4 the late thank you. Very Happy

I applied the Ultimate Fix, and it worked. But then again, I have another problem. Shocked

You see, I installed Supernatural. When I run the game, it crashes and a pop out says: Unable to start game. Service initialization. So I re-apply the Ulitimate fix. And when I run it again, What he said.

So guys, PLEASE HELP!!! Help

Hello,

Which numeric code are you getting with that error?
I have a feeling you applied the crack that came with the Supernatural file, that crack is outdated and reapplying the crack from the fix would solve it if that's the case.

So, you see, I downloaded World Adventures, which took me a month to finish. And I followed the Installation Guide, but i'm stuck on Step 2. I can't find SKU. Help

And one question, WHY?

So, PLEASE fix this. Wat.

Please follow the guide here. Don't follow the installation guides in the torrents. They are for serial codes ONLY.

The only reason you'd need to go into the registry and change it is if there's a "region error" while installing it. Otherwise, it's best not to mess around in there. Smile

Hey. So I read the instructions, and it said, "You may skip all the "# Crack" folders. You DO NOT need to use any "# Crack" folders!" so my question is: Do I need to skip the Crack folders or not? Cause I think something will be needed there.

Skip the cracks included in the downloads. When you're done installing everything use the manual patch, then the ultimate fix.

1.First, I have to reinstall all of the expansions and stuff packs that I have. Right? Question

2.Then apply the manual patch and ultimate fix. Right???? confused

If you want World Adventures, that's the only reason to install it. I'm not that great with the registry editing, so I'll leave that to Admin or someone else who can direct you to where it may be.

However, don't worry about uninstalling anything. Just while installing, there's no need to apply any of the cracks. We're just trying to save you a little bit of time, with having to copy things to the same spot repeatedly just being pointless. Smile

But definitely, after installing everything, use the manual patch and Ultimate fix. The fix has the most up-to-date crack included, so that is your cracking, and you shouldn't do anything further there.

1.Go to start and type Regedit and open it.

2.Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Wow6432Node/Sims(Not the EA)/The Sims 3 WA and open up SKU change the number same as your base game or change to 2 .

Try and let me know is it working or not.

Thanks zzshin. It worked. I kinda installed it. Because in the middle of the installation it said:

The following error occurred on the file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Support\EA Help\Elec74bf.rra'.

The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

(0x570)

What does this mean? Did I download it well? Please answer ASAP.

You actually have to change the SKU of the base game, and not of "World Adventures".

Keep in mind that you might have to try several times, until you find out the right SKU.
