can't run game anymore after installing island paradise?

i had some issues a couple of days ago BEFORE installing island paradise, but i used the ultimate fix and i was able to play again with no problems. then yesterday i installed the island paradise expansion and now the game just does not even start. i tried using the ultimate fix again, hoping that might help - followed the directions to a T..but still the game simply won't launch. i get zero errors or messages, simply nothing happens when i use my TS3 shortcut to start the game.

i've got ambitions, pets, diesel stuff, master suite stuff, seasons, showtime, island paradise and university life all installed. i also have the razer game booster. 

what should i do now? hope i don't have to uninstall and reinstall, everything, lol.
