Problem with the Sims 3 pets Empty Problem with the Sims 3 pets

Post by Guest Sun 22 Sep 2013, 12:28

Hello,

My Sims 3 pets is crashing when my puppy grows up. I don't know what the problem is?
I've re-installed every expansion pack included The sims 3. But it's still not working.

I've downloaded Razer Game Booster but that doesn't help.

Does anybody have a solution?

Greetings.

p.s sorry for my English.

Hello,

Does this happen to the existing saves only? What about new saves? Do you have any CC/Mods?

Hello,

What mods do you have? Have you updated them? Outdated mods can cause crashes. CC is custom content, like a piece of furniture, a community lot, etc..

Oh, sorry I have 2 mods. 2 hairstyles. And I don't know how to update a mod, so probably not Razz
And where can I find those CC's?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that

Hello,

You should visit the websites of the uploaders of the mods to download and apply the latest mods that is compatible with the version of your base game. Otherwise, crashes and other unexpected glitches can happen. If you cannot find the latest compatible mods, I think you should remove the mods you have installed completely.

Hello,

Please go to your C drive/My Documents/ Electronic Arts, there is a file named "Sims 3". Rename it as "Sims 3.old". Then click open your game again, now game regenerates another Sims 3 files, go and play your game and see if the same problem occurs again.

Creating a new document file for your game is like starting for the first time in Sims 3, there won't be any saves or personal info. If the same problems doesn't occur, then you can safely put your sae files in the new documents file. Just for now, please do the "renaming thing" and let us know the result.

Oh, sorry to hear that.

Then I think only possible solution is doing a clean uninstalling. You can see all the information here, just continue slowly and make sure you understand every single step.

I hope it works, please let us know the result.

Hello,

Rename the folder "The Sims 3" again. Now, re-apply the "manual patch", and then the two files from the #crack folder in the Ultimate fix; this means, just repeat the steps from 2 to 4 here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

After you've done that, rename the folder "back to normal" again, before you re-start the game.

Moreover, lots of problems associated with pets are related to graphics issues. Check this here for some information about supported graphics cards. But still, if you haven't done that yet, you can try to update your graphics drivers.

Open the "Start" menu at the desktop, and go to the option "Run". Type dxdiag, and then go to the "display" tab. There look at the name of your graphics card.

Problem with the Sims 3 pets Dxdiag10

This screenshot is an example; you need to find out the model name of your card, then you can type it into google. And then you have to search it for yourself, or if you feel unsure about that, you can post the name of your card here, and we'll look it up for you.

If this and what Phoebe said didn't help you, I'm not sure what else to do. Unfortunately, this game has many smaller bugs, for which there is no solution. You can try, like Phoebe suggested, to do a clean un-install of your games; although this solution is a bit "radical" (especially if you don't have any other issues), maybe you're lucky and it helps. But otherwise I can only "offer" you to play without puppies - or try to create adult dogs right away. Wat.
