Installation problem
Hello,
I want to download The Sims 3 Pets and Seasons, Generations is completed.
Now here's the problem,
If I were going to install The Sims 3 Generations (with applying store fix, ultimate fix and etc.) while Pets and Seasons still Downloading.
Can I install Pets and Seasons if its complete or I need to uninstall all of the game? If so... Then, I wasted my 1000000 hours of my life.
Help!

Please double-click the manual patch you downloaded to start patching your game. Don't update your game via launcher.

Re: Installation problem
If you don't want to download the manual patch, you should apply the Ultimate Fix first before patching. Otherwise this error may persist:DaSims3bish wrote:I didn't downloaded the manual patch because it's size...

(1) For The Sims 3 - base game: open the "Base Game" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist. (in your case it should be D drive. This applies to all of your other expansion packs/stuff packs installed)
(2) For The Sims 3 - World Adventures: open the "World Adventures" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
(3) For The Sims 3 - High End Loft Stuff: open the "High End Loft Stuff" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 High End Loft Stuff\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
(4) For The Sims 3 - Ambitions: open the "Ambitions" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Ambitions\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
(5) For The Sims 3 - Fast Lane Stuff: open the "Fast Lane Stuff" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
(6) For The Sims 3 - Late Night: open the "Late Night" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Late Night\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
(7) For The Sims 3 - Outdoor Living Stuff: open the "Outdoor Living Stuff" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
( 8 ) For The Sims 3 – Island Paradise & University Life & 70s, 80s and 90s Stuff & Seasons & Supernatural & Diesel Stuff & Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats & Showtime & Master Suite Stuff & Pets & Town Life Stuff & Generations: open the "All expansion packs released after and including Generations" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin (SO NOT TO THE EXPANSION’S GAME DIRECTORY!) and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
(9) Now, open the The Sims 3 launcher and navigate to the "Update" -tab. Choose "Refresh". If a new update is shown, install it. Now you should have got the latest version of the game.

Hello,DaSims3bish wrote:Okay so the exe file was named TS3W, why does it have "W" on it?
It means you have expansion packs/stuff packs installed. It doesn't really matter.

Re: Installation problem
Although, I need to update the game because I need to install the Generations EP, and the exe file on my Bin, don't have "W" on it, That's why I need to update it to the latest and I can install Generations EP.

You can open The Sims 3: Generations torrent, and go to Support >> Updates. There should be a patch that is corresponding to Generations. Double-click it to start patching and then install Generations, afterwards, apply the Ultimate Fix and start updating via launcher.

Hello,DaSims3bish wrote:*disc scratch* It says I cannot play the game..
is the base game 1.57? If yes, you should drag and drop the content of the folder #crack from the Ultimate Fix to D:\Something\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Click "yes" when you are prompted to replace the files.

Re: Installation problem
Can you tell me what the error message is when you try to run the game? Also can you open skuversion.txt in The Sims 3\Game\Bin folder? Tell me the number at the line "Gameversion".

Apply the Ultimate Fix according to the 8th post of this topic (that is my post) and update the base game to the latest version (1.57). I wonder why you don't read that at all.
