Dumb question please(i'm new here) re: expansion packs. [SOLVED]

Hi all,

Is it ok to register my expansion packs on the sims3 site that I downloaded from here?  I purchased Generations, Ambitions and Supernatural myself.  I downloaded Late Night, Pets, Seasons and University Life from this site.

Ps. In order to use some of the "special" registered users-only online features, you only need one registered game on your account. Can be anything, even the cheapest stuff pack available.
