EPs won't show up on the launcher

I hope you can help me to fix this issue because I'm going mad.
A month ago I downloaded the sims 3 base game from a random torrent. It worked fine, but no expansion pack worked. So I searched this forum and found out that my base game was probably modified and incompatible with Eps.
It was suggested to download it from your torrent, so I did.
But nothing changed.
On the launcher don't appear any icon of the EPs i installed following your instructions.
Here's what I did:

-Downloaded the basegame from your torrent (found on the guide for mac games4theworlddownloads.org/Downloads/Guides/Sims_3_Mac_Guide.pdf)
-installed following the instructions found on games4theworld.org (updated from launcher to 1.63)
-downloaded seasons and university life, installed following the instructions of the Fix (cracked and everything)
icons of the expansions didn't show. The Eps appear to be correctly installed (i can find them in the AddOns folder), but when I launch the game from the Eps icons the game launch normally but there's still no icon.

-uninstalled everything (following the clean uninstall instructions) and reinstalled basegame, season and university life in this order.
No improvement

-finally I uninstalled everything again (following the clean uninstall instructions) and reinstalled basegame(this time I tried to upgrade manually with the fix), season and university life in this order.

Nothing changed. 
Please, please Help.

Did you use Stuffit Expander during the .dmg creating process to unpack your files for the Expansion Packs?

I re-read your first post. Seems like your installation process might not be accurate..
In the mean time, please try out these steps:

(Please click HERE for detailed instructions!)


* If you have previously installed The Sims 3 on your mac, please do a FULL and CLEAN uninstall before proceeding.

1) Install your base game.
2) *Update your base game to the latest version via the launcher's Game Updates tab. [Current: V1.63]
3) Unzip original Expansion Pack files with Stuffit Expander. (Skip Steps 3 & 4 if you have downloaded your EPs in .iso or .dmg)
4) Create .dmg files of the EPs with Disk Utility.
5) Install EPs in order of release.
6) Apply the LATEST Ultimate Fix for Mac. (ONLY the two files in the main #Crack folder!)
7) Enjoy your game!

I already followed that guide, but I'll try again.

Do I need to use stuffit expander to open the basegame .rar file? Maybe this is the problem.
I downloaded the game from the proxy in the guide, but I can only unrar with the compression utility. Stuffit won't do it and It says that the file is corrupted.

Where can I find another base game file compatible with mac?

For the base game, you have to use "The Unarchiver".

Please be sure to read the guide carefully. That piece of info was already mentioned in the guide.

However I did the clean uninstall again, and re-downloaded the base game. I'm opening the rar file with the unarchiever this time, but I don't think this will change anything

yes, the Eps  were correctly installed, as I can find them into the AddOns folder.

Hmm.. on my mac I don't have an Addon folder.. 
I think it would be great if you can show me a screenshot of the folder that contains your Sims 3 application. So that I will be able to compare it with mine..

I downloaded a new basegame with some Eps pre installed. Everithing works, but I wanted to give a last try with seasons. Same old problem, it seems to be correctly installed but doesn't show up.

Can you redownload the Ultimate Fix anf try again? The one you downloaded is outdated, and caused many problems. Sorry for all the inconvenience caused.

I have just downloaded and applied the last ultimate fix crack file but nothing changed. Do I have to unistall everything and start all over again?

Sorry for gettimg back to you so late. I'm honestly quite baffled by your situation as I have yet to encounter it thus far. I'm not exactly sure where went wrong. 

Also, now that you have changed to a base game that comes with the EPs preinstalled, it changes everything. Reason being some base games that come with pre-installed EPs will not work with a new EP installation. So, now I'm not sure if the cause of the problem is the same or entirely different.

I'm just wondering, when you uninstalled your game, did you make sure to do a full and clean uninstall? If you did not, it can cause several problems with your game.
