Cannot Install EP after update 1.63

Dear all, 

I have updated successfully my base game to 1.63 manually by following the instruction on "Sims_3_Mac_Guide.pdf" using Stuffit expander

However, when I install Sims 3 Into The Future, there is a error message "The version of The Sims™ 3 installed is not updatable and is not compatible with The Sims™ 3 Into the Future."

Please help me solve this problem. Thank you

Hmm. That is weird indeed. You have successfully patched to 1.63 so I see no reason why you would receive that message. 

I suggest that you try to install Into the Future again after restarting your mac. If it still fails,  please download and apply the manual patch and try installing the EP again.

I have tried your suggestion and it still fails. This is my first time having problem with Expansion pack

I got it from games4theworld. 

Last time, i successfully install EP Movie Stuff. 


Maybe the problem comes from my base game

Hmmm.. I'm not sure how it managed to work for you at first, but the games4theworld basegame does not work well for mac..

I propose that you read my following Installation Guide. There is a link to a detailed pdf guide which will point you towards the right torrent for the appropriate base game.

HOW TO INSTALL THE SIMS 3 ON A MAC (simplified)

* If you have previously installed The Sims 3 on your mac, please do a FULL and CLEAN uninstall before proceeding.

1) Install your base game.
2) *Update your base game to the latest version via the launcher's Game Updates tab. [Current: V1.63]
3) Unzip original Expansion Pack files with Stuffit Expander. (Skip Steps 3 & 4 if you have downloaded your EPs in .iso or .dmg)
4) Create .dmg files of the EPs with Disk Utility.
5) Install EPs in order of release.
6) Apply the LATEST Ultimate Fix for Mac. (Use ONLY the two files in the main #Crack folder!)
7) Enjoy your game!

Sadly, It still doesn't work for me. I have no idea what's wrong with my sims 3

I'm sorry to hear that you still have that problem! Your situation is odd indeed and definitely the first time I have encountered it..

It seems like it has nothing to do with the base game in this case. I'm just thinking off-hand, but could it be the EP itself?

Where did you get it from? Even if you have gotten it from here, I suggest that you try redownloading it and converting it to a dmg again. Let's try and see if this works
