Sims 3 stopped working

Hello people,

I have into the future for quite a time now and the game froze and said it stopped working.. Windows was looking for a solution. All my drivers are up to date as far as i know. Its on a laptop though, with an i7 processor and its a dell XPS15 with an NVIDIA GT525M. I know the graphic card is quite bad, but it works until today.. Sometimes it lags but that is quite rare when it happens.. Could that be the graphic card? Is there a new update for a patch after Into the future?

Normally crashing isn't your graphics card, especially if you know for a fact that the drivers are up to date!

My suggestion to you would to be apply the manual patch and the ultimate fix asap, then test your game to see if it still crashes.    Let us know your progress here.

Well i placed the crack and updated it with the manual patch. I will test it soon, what if it won't work? Could it be the laptop? Because it's actually not made for gaming or the mods maybe? What could be the little lag in the game?

Yes in the program files directory, followed by the game > bin directory. It's all in the base game folder. I replaced the crack there.
Maybe i found it, i placed sims3packs in the wrong folder. It's in mods > packages but it should be in downloads. If i remove them hopefully it's gone.

Can you in the meantime, create a brand-new save to see if there are any differences?

The reason I asked you to do so is that it should be acknowledged that if the problem is about corruption of a particular save or not. If you don't do that, I cannot diagnose this for you.

If a new save does not make your game crash/stop working, then it's the problem of your old save, or vice versa.

If that really happens, I will let you know how to recover the active household you are playing in your old (corrupted) save.
