Order Question... [SOLVED]

I jinxed myself earlier!

I ended up downloading the new patch which made everything go crazy - I didn't see the post about the fix and I just went ahead and uninstalled and now I'm reinstalling everything. But, while before I had all the expansions and everything I really never touched quite a few of them...so, I was just wondering would everything (the Ultimate Fix and all) still work if I just have the base game + Ambitions + Pets (+maybe generations and university) only and if so do I need to download one before the other, of course the base comes first?

I'm definitely going to follow y'alls how to and this is possibly a silly question...I just have a tendency to make things go horribly wrong if I just dive in.
