Manual patch CRC error

I downloaded the 1.66 patch from 3 different browsers already now, and i still get a CRC error on one of the files during the patching progress, not with the patch file itself.
I was wondering...How can the cause of the problem be the browser or something related to it?I mean, the file got downloaded fine, so it shouldn't have any problem. Plus, it was compressed in a .rar file, which didn't show up to be corrupted either. Only while patching, at around 75% of the patching progress, it said this "The Sims 3/GameData/Shared/Packages/DeltaBuild0.package" has a CRC error because it doens't match the file into the .cab file from the installation program.

Hello,

I notice you said the manual patch is compressed. The manual patches provided Games4theworld's mega link or EA's official manual patch link are not compressed. May I ask where you download the manual patch?

Sorry you are having issues but I hope these steps work as they have for me. I too experience same issues. After I experience all the same issues these are the steps that finally helped me.

1. I Downloaded and Apply Ultimate Fix first FROM HERE: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems (BE SURE TO SKIP STEP 11 IN THE FIX GUIDE)

1a. PAUSE AT STEP 10 IN "ULTIMATE FIX GUIDE" "FOR NOW FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW".

2. I DELETED PREVIOUS MANUAL PATCHES THAT DIDN'T UPDATE PROPERLY.

3. I RE-DOWNLOADED MAUAL PATCH FROM HERE:
http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/TS3_1.66.2.0240xx_update.exe
( BE SURE TO USE INTERNET EXPLORER 11, IT AUTOMATICALLY LAUNCH INSTALL WIZARD AND UPDATES THE GAME.)

4. ONCE GAME IS UPDATED FOLLOW STEPS 12 &13 IN ULTIMATE FIX GUIDE.

5. ONCE YOU HAVE APPLIED FINAL CRACK FROM THE #CRACK FOLDER INTO THE SIMS 3 BASE GAME, STAY IN THE BASE GAME FOLDER AND LOCATE FILE NAMED "TS3W.EXE AND DOUBLE CLICK TO LAUNCH GAME. ( YOU MAY WANT TO COPY AND PASTE IT TO DESKTOP TO HAVE EASIER ACCESS TO IT.)

6. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE GAME!!

I don't get the point in splitting the topic since we're all talking of the same issue.
It's not the file itself that has a CRC check issue when downloading it, but we download it and AFTER IT, during the updating process, a file in it creates in a CRC issue.
Anyways, i've been talking about a compressed file because the MEGA link you provided points to a .rar file ^^
The file downloaded via EA servers seems to work properly though, i used it and no errors came up.

Hello,

I split the topics because we do not want any confusion that arises when 2 people posted similar/different problems in the same topic. We prefer individual helping, which is more effective and efficient. Some problems might look similar, but that doesn't mean the same solution applies to these problems.

I have checked the MEGA link and it's shown up as an exe file. I don't know about the link you have mentioned.

Anyhow, do you have any questions?
