SIMS 3 0x0175dcbb problem. [SOLVED] Empty SIMS 3 0x0175dcbb problem. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Thu 30 Jan 2014, 17:47

I've read another thread about this problem that found a solution in the 5.0th version of the catalyst repack.

I have uninstalled the game several times and installes it again with expasion packs including pets and season, followed the instructions to correct cracking I found here with the manual patch, updating succesfully, then copying the #crack from the fix into the sim3/game/bin file replacing everything correctly.

When I attempt to play the game running the TSW3 , i get this error about it being unable to initialize the service (0*0175dcbb).

I figured the only way to fix it is with the 5.0th version of the catalyst repack, but where can i find it?

Hello,

First of all, I'm not sure if this "catalyst repack" is a modified Sims 3 compilation; and it's unusual here for us to give support on other uploader's games.

But try re-doing the steps from 2 to 4 here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

Note that for this to work, you'll also need at least one of the expansions mentioned in step #1.

Then, have a look at this here:

This video is for 64-bit system though. If your Windows is a 32-bit version, then the registry location is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Sims.

If these solutions still don't work, I'm afraid you'll either have to look elsewhere for other explanations, or maybe even re-download the games.

Good luck !

Well, i do not know the original source of the game and expasion packs i own. I bought them already burnt on dvds and all i do is let them install. They originally come with a crack inside them which i used to copy and replace in the sims3/game/bin folder.
Last time it worked all i did was copy and paste the crack from seasons in there and since it didnt work, i applied the #crack from your fix and it worked fine. Afterwards, the game started crashing.
I unistalled it and found myself with this problem.

My pc is a 64 bit, i will try the solution on the video you suggested and let you know how it goes.
Thank you

Hello again,

Please try the solution that I posted first.

And ONLY if this doesn't work, try J.T.'s method of a "clean un-install".
