CAS Crashing

Steps I have taken:

Added ALL .exe's of sims 3 relation to my DEP list.
Uninstall and reinstall everything
Change my sims 3 in documents to a .back and let it refresh its files
Running with no CC
Running with CC

The thing is: I can play for a good fifteen minutes before things start turning black and not working anymore.

Okay so I think I've pinpointed what my game doesn't like to a certain degree. I can make female sims, but if I try to start with the male sim [base game, black guy in a red shirt, no hat] it gets fussy. I was just able to completely make my female sim, save her as her own household, then when I made my male sim [which gave me false hope because usually I can only get halfway through making him] I tried saving him and bam insta crash. Here's the new xcpt it gave me [in the spoiler]

One thing: these "crash logs" usually don't help a lot. Wink

Do all steps there (except step #1, which you seemingly did already).

If your Windows is a 64-bit version, then focus on step #3 in particular. Download the "4 GB patch" from here. After downloading, double-click on that 4 GB patch and in the next prompt, choose the TS3W.exe in your base game location. Usually, that's C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

In your case, you seem to have only 3 GB of RAM, but try that method, still.

Next, please close down your anti-virus completely, before playing The Sims 3.

Then go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete all contents inside the Currentgame.sims3 folder. Also, in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3, delete the following stuff:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

So much for that. I don't think it's because of male/female sims in CAS, but let's see. Keep us updated - there might be a few other things we could try, if it doesn't work.
