Sims 3 is throwing a tantrum. ("Sims 3 has stopped working")
Okay. First off hello. I am new here. I have spent the better part of a few days trying to get my Sims 3 game to work again.
See, long ago, there was a time where I could play it for hours on end and the game would only crash if I made a ridiculously huge lot or family.
However, for the past few days, I boot it up, load a file, and within 10-15 minutes the game crashes to the desktop.
I have absolutely no idea why this is happening. I have played the game numerous times without fail since the last time that I installed any CC or Mods. I am able to play other games without fail, such as Skyrim and Bioshock. But just not this one.
System Specs
Laptop - HP Pavillion dv7
OS - Windows 7 64-bit
Processor - Core i7
RAM - 6GB
Graphics - Generic Intel HP Graphics (it's literally called this. obviously it's not the best graphics card, but it worked before)
Sims 3 Expansions
World Adventures
Ambitions
Fast Lane Stuff
High End Loft Stuff
Late Night
Outdoor Living Stuff
Seasons
Pets
Supernatural
Katy Perry Sweet Treats
Diesel Stuff
Generations
Town Life Stuff
Master Suite Stuff
Showtime
70's, 80's, and 90's Stuff
University Life
Attempted Fixes
DEP Fix - Added every single EXE file (even the ones from the packs folder) that I have for base and all expansions
'Run as' Fix - Have tried running game in compatibility mode for Windows 95 (suggested) and Windows 7 w/ run as admin checked.
Installed Latest Update of the Ultimate Fix
No. I have not removed my mods/cc nor have I done a re-install. If it is the general consensus that doing so will fix this then I have no choice. However, I do not see how mods or my install could be the problem since, as I've said, my game has been working almost flawlessly up until this point. Keep in mind that I installed this game a year ago, so to me it seems very weird that an issue with the installation would turn up NOW.
I haven't played it in a few weeks (the last time it worked right). So this week, when I decided to check on my sims, I was surprised to see it crash so suddenly when I was hardly doing anything at all.
This issue is getting very frustrating in that I've seem to run out of all of the general fixes for this sort of problem. And I'm faced with the final solution of reinstalling, which of course is such a hassle when you have everything just how you want.
The only thing I can think of is that some update that windows recently put out has a bit of code or script which is clashing with this kind of application. That's really the only change that has happened to this computer since my last good run.
I do hope that there is a simple solution for this at hand and I appreciate any and all help.

Hello. My first recommendation would be to just rename the sims 3 folder in your documents, and see how the game runs then. Just to test everything out without mods or anything. However, is this happening on just one particular save, or is it with a new game too?

Yep, I tried it without mods. But it still crashed.
And Yes, this happens to all my saves and new games.
I uninstalled all of my nraas mods just to see if that was it what with the recent update with the ultimate fix. But still, after a few minutes it just shuts down.
Last time I tried though, I had my system monitor up in the background, so when it crashed I went and checked the memory usage of the game right before. And it was right around 3GB (I raised the max memory usage previously through one of the settings files). Could it be that sims 3 is just racking on more and more memory until it crashes? What would cause something like that?
