Sims 1 Complete Edition Expansions keep installing/loading Empty Sims 1 Complete Edition Expansions keep installing/loading

Sorry if there is another post I tried searching but couldn't find it. Anyways I successfully installed Sims 1 and went to go play. It loaded fine but when I was in the main menu it just kept installing the expansions over and over again. It looked to be done but two seconds later it would start up again and I couldn't exit or even force close it. I had to restart my PC. I am running Windows 8 64 bit if that helps any. Thank you for the game tho nonetheless!

Can you go to the Sims.exe, in C:\Program files(x86)\Maxis\The Sims ? Right-click on the Sims.exe, and go to "Properties". Under "compatibility", choose "run this program as an administrator", and also choose "run this program in compatibility mode for..." (choose Windows XP or 7). 


Clickon "Apply", then on "OK" to save the changes. And then re-start the game. Does this improve anything ?
