Error during startup
When I try to open a launcher or just the .exe file I get a notification saying "There was an error during startup. Please see Log for more details." I have already seen the YouTube video showing how to fix it but I downloaded all the expansions and stuff packs so there isn't any extra in the folder. I followed the instruction for the crack files correctly (I have done it before just not all from Game4TheWorld) so I am wondering what my next course of action should be. There does not seem to be a fix for it so should I uninstall and reinstall/download everything again?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

Re: Error during startup
People could tell you "better" ways to solve this, but ultimately you want to UNINSTALL ALL SIMS 3 +, Once you have done so. Install Sims 3 base game first then any expansion'(s) you'd like. Apply Manual patch then the Ultimate Fix, if this doesn't work, Please post back or message me!

Actually, there are easier and better ways to solve this - uninstalling and re-installing will only rarely solve issues, and besides, if you don't do it right, it can make matters worse. @wackysimsplayer: do the video solution here:
The solution is for 64-bit Window systems though; if your Windows is a 32-bit version, the registry location is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Sims.
After you've done the video solution, re-do the steps from #2 to #4 here:

Good luck !

Re: Error during startup
@Carlos but I cannot even do the solution in the video since I have all the expansion packs and stuff pack installed so their is no "excess".
I stated that earlier.

Where did you get your base game from ? If you use some of these "modified" Sims 3 games, the Ultimate fix won't work with them, so I suggest that you ONLY use Games4TheWorld's games. And then just re-do the steps from #2 to #4 I mentioned.
You should always do these steps exactly as described, otherwise it won't work.

Re: Error during startup
This time I got all my games from Games4TheWorld but through pirate bay. I redid steps 2-4 again (I redid the patch and went through each copy and paste in order) still nothing.
//EDIT
And yes I made sure the "Into the Future &Movie Stuff &Island Paradise & University Life & 70s, 80s and 90s Stuff & Seasons & Supernatural & Diesel Stuff & Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats & Showtime & Master Suite Stuff & Pets & Town Life Stuff & Generations" went into the base game folder and not an expansion.

Actually, I'm 99% sure that you missed something - you don't have to use anything else from the Ultimate fix btw, except the two files in the #crack-folder. So after applying the manual patch, just apply the two files from the #crack in the Ultimate fix into the base game folder, and replace the exisiting ones. At that point, there are hardly any other explanations left.
If you really want to un-install, make sure that you re-boot the computer after removing the stuff. After the re-boot, re-install again.
P.S. please use the "edit"-button if you want to add something to your message, instead of posting several times in a row.

Re: Error during startup
Sorry new to the site. I started uninstalling pack by pack and checking the launch each time. After like 7, it worked and then reinstalled the ones I uninstalled and it worked. So not sure what went wrong (probably copied something to the wrong folder and messed it up), but it works now. I appreciate all the help from the both of you.
