Tried everything, and Sims 3 still crashing in CAS. [SOLVED]
Hi everyone :-)
I seem to have the same problem that many people have. I'm creating a Sim and when I go to choose the formal clothes, it crashes.
I have been through the site and have tried (as far as I can tell) everything. This includes:
-Uninstalling the game, and reinstalling according to the guide on here for installing correctly.
-Turning the graphics down to low and running out of full screen mode.
-Running the game with no CC or Mods.
-I have even tried the Ultimate Fix, but it made no difference.
-Tried the DEP thing too, and it didn't work.
-I am unable to turn off Vertical Sync because my graphics card settings won't allow me to. I can only choose to turn it on or application settings.
-I have turned reflections off, but no different.
My laptop specs are as follows:
-I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
-3 GB RAM
-Intel Core Duo @ 2.10 GHz
-Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
At the moment I am only able to create one Sim at a time before it crashes (if I'm lucky!) I really have run out of ideas and was hoping one of you good people out there might be able to shed some light on the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello and sorry for the late reply,
While 3 GB of RAM isn't that bad, it's generally recommended to have at least 4 GB of RAM, and besides your 32-bit operating system is also a big disadvantage, because it means your computer can only use about 2 (out of the 3) GBs of RAM.
First of all, try the tool "GameBooster" (look on Piratebay) and install it. Open the program and click on the button where it says "Boost". The program should be self-explanatory to use, but if you need more help with that, let me know.
Next, read this here:
http://www.games4theworlddownloads.org/Downloads/Guides/How_to_install_.package_files.pdf
After that, please download and install the following mods:
NRAAS_Master Controller (base mod)
NRAAS_Master Controller Integration
Re-start the game, and go into "map view". Click on the town hall, and then choose NRAAS -> Master Controller -> Settings -> CAS. Then click on the options...
Show in compact form: clothing
Show in compact form: hats
Show in compact form: accessories
So that the value to each 3 of them (on the right) says TRUE. The value really must be on TRUE, otherwise, this whole thing doesn't help you. And that's it actually - now try CAS again and see if anything improved. Good luck and do report back to me about your progress !

I'm not sure whether it's the GameBooster or NRAAS but it seems to be working fine now! My sanity and I both thank you Carlos !
