Isla Paradiso and Bridgeport crash just as load finishes Empty Isla Paradiso and Bridgeport crash just as load finishes

So I have Island Paradise and Late Night installed, and every time I try to load either of the EP's towns, it crashes. This is odd because before I used to have most of the expansions and stuff packs and loads of CC, and they both loaded fine then. I've added everything to the DEP list and it still does not work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled every single expansion, including the base game, and nothing. Please help.

Hello,

To make sure: have another look at this here and (re-)do the steps from #2 to #4: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

I'm going to elaborate a bit more now, on the crash guide, since some of the descriptions are misleading. Now, even if you say you did that already, have another  look at this other topic here and re-do all steps: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-7-01-2014

If your Windows is a 64-bit version AND if your computer has 4 GB of RAM or more, then focus on step #3 in particular. Download the "4 GB patch" from here.

After downloading, double-click on that 4 GB patch and in the next prompt, choose the TS3W.exe in your base game location. Usually, that's C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Wait for the message "executable successfully patched" and close the 4 GB patch.

Note that this method will not work if your Windows is a 32-bit version and/or if your computer has fewer  than 4 GB of RAM. After doing that, go on with the rest of the steps. These instructions should be pretty self-explanatory.

Now go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete all contents inside the Currentgame.sims3 folder. Also, in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3, delete the following stuff:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

Re-start the game then and see if anything improved. You may even turn off your anti-virus program completely before playing The Sims 3. Also, in the in-game options menu, try lowering the graphics settings too.

Good luck !

I just tried to do the last thing you mentioned and noticed I didn't have a folder named WorldCaches. I added a folder with that name and will see if it works. About the other steps, I've done them multiple times. I don't have any CC at the moment and also used to run Isla Paradiso and Bridgeport easily with the highest settings.

UPDATE: no improvement, but I noticed that as the load finishes, the music stops and the game crashes a few moments after.

Hello,

Do other neighborhoods work?
The folder WorldCaches may not exist, it is mostly used for custom worlds. No need to create it.
If no other neighborhood work, then there is a problem with the way your computer runs the game. Please try this website, using your expansions, and come back to us with the results.

Other neighborhoods work. I had Showtime installed (I uninstalled to see if it was the problem, which it wasn't, and have yet to reinstall) and Starlight Shores worked just fine.

Please try the Crash Log Analyser from Mod The Sims, it will give us an idea of what is wrong.
