Game Version is 1.55 but go to update to 1.67 and just stalls

I am currently trying to update my game to verison 1.67 from 1.55. It gets all the way to the green box and says downloading update and then at the very end of the text is says (paused) I pushed the play/go button and still does nothing. Not sure what to do or how to fix it, please help.

Use the "manual patch" for updating the game.

Next, have a look at this here and do steps #3 and #4 (keep in mind though that you ALSO need to have at least one of the expansions mentioned in step #1):
