Manual patch instalation problem. Empty Manual patch instalation problem.

I installed sims 3 and when I wanted to instal first extension it asked for an update. So I downloaded manual patch and double click it. Then an error appeared. It says sth like that (This is not oryginal message but my translation as the message is in my home language):

Error number (-5006 : 0x80070005) during Installation
Check if previous installation are finished or if all apps are closed.
If you can't remove the error contact your seller: Electronic Arts.

Hello,

That means that the manual patch has somehow become corrupt.
Please re-download it using a different browser. Do not pause or interrupt the download.

After re-downloading it, it should work fine.

I've already figured it out. I just had to past this update to the same folder as my game. Before I had it on my desktop Wink

As a sidenote: it shouldn't be necessary to "paste" this manual patch anywhere, since it detects the game automatically. Your problem was most likely related to what the Admin mentioned before. But I'm still glad to hear that you seemingly managed to solve your problem. Do you need assistance with anything else ?
