Sims 3 Pets fix. [SOLVED]

Hi, downloaded the sims 3 pets torrent and then downloaded the fix for the "please insert disk 1" issue. Everything got installed seemingly fine, but now the sims3 launcher wont even open so can't play the game. Followed instructions as best I could (Since I downloaded sims 3 through origin originally, I transferred the crack files to the sims 3 Bin folder in the Origin Games folder, instead of EA folder) Am I missing something obvious after installing everything?

Are you sure you did the steps from #2 to #4 here correctly ?

Next, try starting the game with the TS3W.exe, in your base game location, instead of the launcher. Your base game location is where you pasted the two craqck-files, mentioned in step #4 of that guide.
