Game update

After you are finished with that, re-apply the latest manual patch, and then do the steps #3 and #4. Good luck, and let me know if you need more assistance, but it should be (almost) straightforward.

You need to update the game with the latest "manual patch". Get it here:

Next, keep in mind that you cannot just play the base game then, because the #crack of the base game won't work anymore. I strongly suggest you have a look at this and install at least one of the expansions that are mentioned in step #1, here:
