problem file in current game folder

I've had my copy of the sims 3 for about a year now and use the fixes regularly but recently my game has stopped saving. i asked a few friends and they told me to check for bad files in the saved games folder, after checking and deleting all saved games just to be sure, nothing changed. i asked my friends again ad they told me to check the current games folder was empty (which it wasn't) i had a file called travelBD.package in there. i deleted this file and my game worked perfectly again. the problem is, it keeps reappearing, i was checking and deleting it regularly but after getting a little annoyed, i moved it to a different folder but it keeps going back into my current games folder and i have no idea what to do anymore. i don't want to have to give up on my sims
