If you move Sims 4 out of the default directory, the mod folder gets messed up and you don't see any mods, or did I do something wrong?

Aren't the mods in The Sims 4 stored inside your Documents folder, instead of program files, like with The Sims 3?

If that's the case, you need to see what's your documents default "save to" folder, since some people are facing issues with One Drive changing the default documents folder and not being able to play properly.

Otherwise, you are supposed, as part of the game installation, to move your game outside of the Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts or the fix won't work (you will get the famous "origin" error).

Let's know how things turned out and have a great simming time!
