Island Paradise snorkel problem [SOLVED]

My sims gets into the water and snorkels a few sec then is sent back on land automatially. I even deleted scriptCache.package file and restarted the game but it still does it.

So, do you have Mods installed? And are you sure that all of them are updated to 1.67?

Does this happen to a specific Sim or to every one? Please, try doing it in a new save and let us know how it goes. Very Happy

Hello tsnell23,

This is actually another common glitch in the game. What I would do is this:

Go into map view (!) and click, for example, on a diving area (on the logo of it). See if you get the option to "snorkel". Try "accessing" the snorkel function from both "live mode" as well as the thing with the "map view" I just described.

Also, try snorkelling in other areas, too. And if you have the "ErrorTrap" mod installed, remove it too, for now.

Usually, you'll have this glitch when actually diving, and what I described with the "live mode", helps there. I'm not sure though if it also works with snorkelling...but it's worth a shot.

Yes i have mods installed but not sure if updated to 1.67

Please make sure that ALL your mods are compatible with the patch version you are using. Smile

Refer to the source of where you downloaded the mods from. Keep us posted !

Thanks everyone so the problem is my mods are outdated. Just have to figure out which one it is. I have mostly skin and hair mods.

So, you are sure now that the problem is the mods? You can check this by removing the Mods folder from the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder temporarily and then checking again.

If you are sure now that the problem is indeed the mods, then yes, you would have to check one by one or go to each source of them and re-download the latest version to be completely sure. Smile

Yes I removed the whole mods folder earlier and it worked. Now i'm moving multiple mods at one time to see which one could be the problem.

It's good to hear that you were able to locate the issue! Also keep in mind that the problem could be a combination of incompatible mods. Look really well which ones you have and what each of them do. Wink
