MMO Games? Empty MMO Games?

Post by Guest Thu 21 Aug 2014, 09:46

Hi guys, I was wondering, do hacks and cheats for MMO Games really work? Since I'm playing online games too I've seen some really weird stuff going on, like very fast leveling, unlimited amount of gold, rare items etc. Has anyone tried those hacks, because the internet is full of them, are they worth a try?

Hi there,

I think that depends. If the game is fully hosted/running via the creator's servers, I think the chances of actually hacking stats and stuff like that are extremely small.
You can, however, use bots to do all the playing for you. Result: very fast leveling, lots of money, buying rare items with money.

The game creators will try hard to prevent botting, so there's a chance that your account will be (perma-)banned, if they find you botting. Use at your own risk.

Yes they work.

But they are harder to get to work on live servers vs private servers/public servers.

Some/Most private servers don't bother with blocking these things and just let it run wild.

I played Aion (before it went f2p)
People hacked alot .getting to places you could not reach. running at speeds faster than the speed cap. Even using damage hacks and fps hacks (attack 30x in 1 animation).
But these things only worked for 1 or so month. then it gets immediately patched the next update.

But aside from that. Yes bots do work. I've done it before, I've been permabanned from using it too.

I say this about botting:

It's really your prerogative whether or not you do it, just be careful, as it can not only break the gaming experience for you but get you perma-banned so that all your work will be for nothing.  I've actually used a bot in one specific MMO without being caught. This MMO is old, though, and almost no one I've ever spoken to even knew it existed - even though at the time, it was really popular and for good reason.  The MMO is called Perfect World MY (I played the Malaysian version before International was released).  Anyway, because this was an old MMO (and game in general), I think the anti-botting and anti-hacking movement wasn't as big yet.  Now-a-days, I can only imagine it's nearly impossible to hack a game, let alone bot without getting caught and banned within a few hours.

At first, while I was botting in Perfect World, I was like, "Yeah! This is awesome!" but then I slowly lost interest in the game.  MMOs are designed to make you work for your levels.  Botting, while kind of fun and thrilling, it just kills the game in the long-run.  You'll get bored and burned out.  The risk compared to the reward makes it not really worth it - though, it is fun finding out how other people bot, what programs they use, etc.

I'd rather get into a great guild with fantastic people that I can grind with, that can help me with dungeon quests, stuff like that.  That's an immediate thing I do now, actually, when starting any type of MMO - join a good and active guild!

Hi there,

I think it really depends on the method you use. (Don't become too greedy out of a sudden)
When RuneScape started to bore me, I tried botting once. It was surprisingly easy, so I continued. I did that for quite a while, until I got bored again and stopped playing it completely. The account is still up. Smile It's all about technique. (E.g. Don't let a bot run for 24/7, that's extremely suspicious and will definitely get you banned)
The RuneScape bot still works fine, by the way.

I don't want to name any software, because I don't want to encourage people doing the same. Facepalm

Hello there, As a lot of ppl mention yes some games support 'hack' even botting tho i belive that after a while you lose interest in the game because ... What's the point in playing a game where you actually doing nothing? Go and watch a movie or something lol! .

I play a lot of Lineage 2 before where there exist some private server that allow botting system if you want to try out.

About what Anonymouse mentiont that it is still possible and it wasn't hack that is just a very nice trick by simply reload and try to move in fast while the doors are still loading >.> ... Done that so many times in Aion and was fun while running TL.

To be fair. When I did bot, I was already bored of the game. All my ingame friends have left.  I'm never home when I bot. ^_^ I turn on the bot, go to school, come back, turn off the bot, play a bit. then logoff. So i never really sat there and did nothing lol.
It actually taught me a bit of how botters worked, because it wasn't just the simple click button and boom it auto does it. The bot was more like a script, it required me to equip the right gear, the right set of skills, be in the correct zone, and have the correct motions. But because I wanted to experiment with the bot, I actually had to fix everything in a way to get it to work.

The best thing about it was that, the bot taught me how to farm in that area. Smile I followed the motion, the skill rotation, and got it to work just like the bot. So it was a great teaching device.

oh.. Think you misunderstood. The Aion hacks were actual hacks because they used programs to help them gain the upperhand.

--------------
I see people using macros nowadays that works like bots. record motion, and let it just follow through with the motion. It's not exactly the same as a bot, but for some games, it works the same way.

Hi there,

The downside of macros is that they follow the exact same pattern all the time, which makes it extremely easy to detect them.
A good bot/script chooses a new random pattern constantly.
