Sims 3 Store Content not working.
Dear Games4theworld,
I'm having a problem with your Sims 3 store update download. One thing I noticed is that when the main menu pops up, it only shows that the July 2011 package is installed. Is this normal? Moving on to the next problem, the second one is that I tried installing Riverview from the download, and it wouldn't work. My last problem is with another download, here. Most items from there are also not working. I am suspecting this is all the work of the Sims 3 Launcher because I have a Sim downloaded from another site in the form of a .sims3pack and it is also not working. The version of my game is 1.24, and I have installed the WA, Ambitions, HELS, Late Night, Outdoor Living Stuff, Generations, and Town Life Stuff expansions.
I am downloading The Sims 3 Store Updates 1 to 26 (Up to July) in hopes of fixing the problem.

I am also having this same problem, but for me neither riverview or barnacle bay are there in the neighborhoods tab.

Re: Sims 3 Store Content not working.
Hello,
The Riverview issue is a known problem, you can try this.
You can also try manually installing the store content but be prepared for an afternoon of installing! You can do this by selecting the content, rightclicking and choosing "open" from the drop down menu.
But you'll have to find a balance between opening them one at a time and opening them all at once. The first option will take way too long and the second will be too much for most pc's.
Its the best idea I've got but maybe there's a different answer.
//EDIT
I've found out that even though my store content isn't showing in the launcher, it is showing up in game. Can you see if the same is true for you?

When I tried to start up The Sims 3, the green EA logo didn't pop up, it just stayed like a black screen. Just wanted to say something about it since it could mean something else is at fault. I'll edit this post as I try other options. Also, rightclicking and selecting open doesn't work. It just opens up the launcher, nothing else.
Other notes: I have the Ultimate Fix installed and all my .sims3pack files are in the The Sims 3's Downloads folder.
EDIT: Riverview installed correctly. I didn't need to rightclick and open it, the Sims Launcher just took it from there when I leftclicked on it.

So, from what I understand, you'll just get a black screen when you start up the game?
If yes, did you download any other Mods/CC from other sources, other than ® Games4theworld Downloads?

It started up fine this time, but most custom content from my original save file are missing. So the "content is not showing up in launcher, but it is ingame" is not true. Also, I didn't download anything else for the Sims 3 other than your downloads and Yusifer's custom content pack.

I got the content from Store Updates 1 to 26 to work, but Yusifer's custom content ---not store content, stuff made by other people which are not from the store--- are not working. I can't spot them. Also, here's an error message from one of the stuff that failed to install.

Re: Sims 3 Store Content not working.
Ah yes. User created content can become a problem after a new update or expansion comes out. I've been having problems with a world I created myself since I re-installed the game, it wont open anymore and I'm trying to figure it out at the moment.
The best thing you can do is drop the creator of these items a line to see if they've heard of these problems and whether they have an updated version available.

Re: Sims 3 Store Content not working.
Yeah the launcher has done that to me before but I just let it go for about 10 minutes of the black screen and it started fine everytime after.

Re: Sims 3 Store Content not working.
I downloaded everything from Yusifer's thread again, without applying the TG Unblocker. This time it worked. However, all those objects I downloaded are still being replaced by non-custom objects. I'm going to see if they are still in Buy Mode or something. I've removed the mods. Does anyone have a solution to make The Sims 3 stop replacing my custom objects with non-custom objects? All custom content in that save should not be replaced by now because I redownloaded and installed every piece of custom content.
