Sims 4 and Lighting
Many people who have started playing the game have issues with lighting.
In the houses, the sims are very dark. I also found this to be true.
There is a mod out to fix this but I tried it and it crashed my game after an hour so I removed it.
Really, until they actually fix this, you will have to go into your graphics in the game and move
your lighting up to high (Mine was set on low when I began). Also, it probably helps to put more lighting in each room which solves the issue.
Lighting is not a problem outdoors, only indoors.
I also found that all your downloads go into the mods folder.
I tried putting my few downloads in a download folder but they never showed.
When you put your mods in the mod folder, it will warn you but you can click that out.
Basically, I have had no problems with the game and really love all the new and
different content that you get.
Most cheats are the same as sims 3.
Moving from world to world is a breeze and there are two hidden adventure worlds hidden.
One is in Willow Creek and the other in Oasis Springs and each has an adventure world you need to unlock.
Haven't been there yet though to find them.
All in all, Great for the base game as far as i am concerned.

I think people are going to have different issues regardless. I just turned my lighting up and it is perfect now.

Re: Sims 4 and Lighting
Check settings and there is something in the graphic settings that is for laptops. I don't really remember it's name, but just uncheck it if you have it checked. Many players experience this weird darkness if it is on. If it doesn't fix your problem, then try out that mod.
