The Sims 3 can't start! Please help! Empty The Sims 3 can't start! Please help!

So, I just installed The Sims 3 (I know I'm very late)
After I installed the game, successfully updated it, and cracked the game with games4theworld Fix, I can go in to the game.

But, from the very first start. I'm disappointed because my new NVIDIA GeForce 840M isn't recognized by the game. And this comes up by.
The Sims 3 can't start! Please help! Untitl12
Everything is blank. The new game button is greyed out. There are no options in the Select a Town option. Only a blank box. There are no options too in the Options Menu. The play button also can't be clicked.
Please help!

Hi there, and Welcome to the Games4theworld Forum! Smile

When you said you installed The Sims 3,  what expansion packs did you install with it? Please remember that you need at least one of the EPs mentioned in the first step of this guide for the game to work correctly:

Also, did you make sure to apply the Ultimate Fix in the correct folder? It must go to Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

It's Master Suite Stuff.
Yes, I applied the Ultimate Fix in the correct folder (the base game) Smile

I would suggest downloading the manual patch and then reapplying the fix after the patch is installed. You need your launcher to say 1.67 as the version.... ps.... get generations too Wink hehe thatll make it work and i like that expansion Very Happy

generations isnt an ISO the way that admin uploaded it. I really do like the expansion though and I think you would enjoy it Smile

The download is available on this list. Feel free to grab any other expansions you think you might like Very Happy then just reapply the ultimate fix when you are done installing them.

Well, after I installed Generations, the problem is getting more complex.
"It looks like you have installed an unofficial game modification that does not match your current version of The Sims 3 bla bla bla"
After I pressed continue, the condition is still the same until now.
Please kindly help!

Do you have any Mods installed? If so, are they updated to 1.67? That error can be caused by outdated Mods. You can check if it is by removing the Mods folder from Documents\The Sims 3, and deleting the scriptCache.package from the same folder.

It can also be caused (and more probably) by the Ultimate Fix not being applied correctly. Maybe you should re-download the Ultimate Fix, and take the .dll and .exe that are inside the #Crack folder in the Fix, and copy them to Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin, selecting "Copy and Replace" when you are prompted. Make sure that you are putting them exactly in this folder.

I understand. If it's not much to ask, could you please post a screenshot of your Bin folder, preferably with all of the files visible, and in detail mode?

SeoY is indeed right, this means you have some content in your game that is out of date.


If it is not a mod or custom content you have installed, then it has to be the Manual Patch and Ultimate Fix.
Please be sure you have updated your game to the latest version and that you applied the latest Ultimate Fix (applying the one you kept in your computer will not work, we update the Ultimate Fix regularly).


Also, please bear in mind we all help you voluntarily, so please be patient. We are only wanting to help you solve your problems! Wink
