Game running slow. [SOLVED]
I've got:
Base Game
High-End Loft
Late Night
Outdoor Living
Generation
installed, along with a few packages file, and my game is running painfullyyyy slow. I've always proud of how fast my pc can run with Sims2+EPs at the highest graphic settings. If I must I think I'll have to remove High-End Loft and Outdoor Living. Do you think it would affect my saved game (I did use some items from those EP in my current game)
Or do you have any idea how to make it run faster? For now I'll just remove all the packages mods and see how it goes...
Any help would be sooo appreciated!!!!!

Re: Game running slow. [SOLVED]
What are your system specs?
You can find this by going to (Windows 7 Guide):
Start>Control Panel>System & Security>System
Write them back. If you are on High Settings for TS3, it could be the issue. Otherwise, the Admin or a fellow forum member could help. I think it could be a hardware issue. I have a laptop which can run it fine, and the settings I have are these:
Pentium Dual-Core 2.10GHz
4 GB RAM
250 GB HDD
Chipset Videocard

Re: Game running slow. [SOLVED]
Mine is a custom built desktop,
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q 6600 @ 2.40 GHz
RAM 2 GB
Window 7, 64-bit.
And btw, the loading bar to get in Sunset Valley and Bridgeport takes a really really really long time to load! Ten minutes gone by and not even 1/5 of the bar loaded yet... I'm getting frustrated...
I already put everything on the game on low and medium setting, but no use at all...

Re: Game running slow. [SOLVED]
Hmmm... I have the same issue, but I wait it out because it loads after a bit.
Any mods, Custom Content, ect. that affects graphics, game play?
Mine has several. I know you mentioned you have some packages, have you tried running it without those installed?
If you move your EPs off the drive, it will affect your save.

Re: Game running slow. [SOLVED]
I removed the mods and the game loaded slow at the city screen but perfectly fine in other modes...
I feel relief but disappointed a bit because the modded sims are really pretty...
Is that a problem that the mod files caused (they only weighted ~30 MBs in total), or just because my system is at its limit? If I can I would really want to have those mod files in the game!

Re: Game running slow. [SOLVED]
One of them might be causing the problem. The quick solution (Well, not quick) would be to systematically go through and see which mods are working in the game, and which ones are interfering with one another.
Sorry, I am an avid Sims player, and a computer geek. I know how you feel when it is going slow... LOL

Re: Game running slow. [SOLVED]
Hello,
Unfortunately some mods can really slow down your pc especially the ones that change graphics.
I'll close this topic.
