The Sims 3 Pets. [SOLVED]

Hi, it's me again. >.<

Sorry to say I'm experiencing another problem, this time with The Sims 3 Pets expansion pack.
(Late night and Island Paradise seem to be working fine since yesterday, anyway!)
So, I downloaded the pets expansion pack and I get the graphic card error message coming up, as well as blankness on the screen.
It's hard to explain but there's no options or anything, so I'm stuck on the screen prior to the main gameplay, I hope that makes sense?
I downloaded the fix and applied that as instructed, but it's still telling me the same thing. I can't remember what it said specifically but it's something to do with a graphics card?? And also, when trying to uninstall the expansion pack, it doesn't appear on my control panel, programmes and features menu? How can I remove it or solve the problem so the game is playable?

You always have to do these seps, after adding a new expansion. Wink

Ok, I repeated steps 2 to 4 but now it doesn't seem like the pets expansion is even installed? And I'm also getting the message coming up again telling me to insert the disc for Island Paradise. Oh gosh. Wat.

Hi again!

Did you make sure to put the Ultimate Fix in the Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin folder? Or did you put it in the Electronic Arts one?

And when you open the Launcher, is the Plumbob for The Sims 3 Pets lit up? If it isn't, maybe you could try to install it again to see if you get an error or if it proceeds with the installation.

I'm pretty sure I put those files into the origin folder this time and no, there's no plumbob for the pets expansion, so I'm just attempting to install it again now...it's weird because the pets icon is on my desktop, so I assumed it was installed? O__o

Ok, so I'm getting the 'no disc inserted' error message for Island Paradise again, why would that be happening?

Well, the disc error is most likely because of the Ultimate Fix. My suggestion would be to re-download both the Manual Patch and the Ultimate Fix and apply both of them again. And maybe something went wrong during the Pets installation (make sure to use the Fixed version, or to apply the Fix before you install it). Please, let us know how it goes. Good luck! Smile

It's ok, I managed to solve the Island Paradise problem (don't ask me how) LOL
I just copied and pasted the files back into the folder and it loaded the game up, so I guess that's ok for now? It's just the pets expansion pack that seems to be giving me trouble now, something definitely went wrong during the pets installation, me thinks.

I'll re download those and see how it goes, thank you.

How ?

Btw, the loading screen will still show "Island Paradise", yes. But the content from the "Pets"-expansion should be there too. Check if you can choose the "Appaloosa Plains" neighborhood, in the main menu.

I copied and pasted the crack files for Island Paradise back into the origin folder, I think...that's just a wild guess though, I don't actually know what I did..lol I'll have a look and check the list, hopefully it's there.

Well, that usually means that the crack was not properly applied. Did you use the #Crack folder that comes inside the torrent for Island Paradise? That crack is outdated and won't work anymore. You need to apply the #Crack folder but the one that comes inside the Ultimate Fix, not inside the game installation torrent. Wink

The crack for all of the expansions is the same, the #Crack folder that is found inside the Ultimate Fix. The #Crack folders inside of each torrent for the expansion pack are outdated and should not be used. So, if you apply the Ultimate Fix you would be cracking all of the expansion packs, not just Pets or Island Paradise.

Thank you for clarifying that for me, this stuff can get quite confusing.
I'll apply the ultimate fix again and I'll see if that solves it.

Look again at my reply above. You ONLY need to do the steps from #2 to #4 in that "must-read" guide, and nothing else. Forget the #cracks included in the expansions.

And you always start the game with the TS3W.exe from the base game location ? You need to start the game from there, or alternatively with the launcher, and not with any of the expansion .exe's.

1) install sims 3 base game first .
2)install v167 manual patch to update your base game to latest v167.
3) install the rest of the expansions you want( IGNORE #CRACK DONT USE IT, you will use the latest crack later) For WA its up to you to change sku but I don't recommend changing it unless you have some kind of region problems.
4)optional-run v167 manual patch again to make sure
5)open up ultimate fix latest crack, follow the instructions follow step 1 to 14
For The Sims 3 – Into the Future &Movie Stuff &Island Paradise & University Life & 70s, 80s and 90s Stuff & Seasons & Supernatural & Diesel Stuff & Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats & Showtime & Master Suite Stuff & Pets & Town Life Stuff & Generations, you just have to move TS3W.exe, tslhost.dll to base game sims 3 folder that's all you do not move it to every expansion's folder. it is how the crack works
7) start up game by TS3W.exe
