Strange black map.

Strange black map. Empty Strange black map.

he i have a minor problem, i downloaded the head game then i downloaded generations and then most of the map got black just the houses and stuff are detailed

So, the map worked properly before you installed Generations? Do you have any Mods or CC installed?
Have your tried changing the graphics options in the game to see if something helps?

Also make sure that the drivers of your graphic card are updated, as that may cause this issue. It's also possible that the GPU isn't recognized by the game. Which graphics card do you have?

Hello Jackjon and welcome,


Adding to what SeoY said...especially if your hardware isn't so strong, it can take a while for the game to "render" (i.e. "create") the world, so for a little while, the neighborhood will be black, but then everything should show up. How long did you wait for the wolrd to become "normal" again ? Try waiting a little while.

Also, try lowering some graphics settings, in the in-game options menu. Good luck, and keep us posted !

i have amd radeon hd 7310 graphics card i serched it up and it looks like its bad.  WhatDidUJustCallMe?

So did you already try loweing the graphics settings in the in-game options menu ? For example, lower the resolution, edge smoothing, lot detail, world detail & reflections (or just lower ALL settings).

I have to admit though, that this site I linked to ("can you run it") isn't always reliable. Sometimes it says your hardware is too weak, but in fact, you can still run the game, even at high settings.

Try Razer's GameBooster to 'boost' your game; read up on this here:

That's all I can suggest. If nothing works, then I'm afraid your computer cannot run the game, indeed. Sad
